Projects registered to LEED Canada-NC before February 29, 2008, may continue with version 1.0, or may use the addendum in its entirety or may use selected portions of the addendum on a credit-by-credit basis. Projects mixing LEED Canada 1.0 with the addendum changes have to use a mixture of templates and make notations to the signed declaration.

Projects registered to LEED Canada-NC on or after February 29, 2008, will need to comply with the content of the addendum to achieve credits. All projects will be required to use the LEED Canada NC 1.1 Letter Templates.

The CaGBC LEED® Accreditation exam will not be updated to reflect the addendum content, and it will be based solely on the NC 1.0 version until further notice.

The LEED Canada-NC 1.1 is comprised of the 1.0 version plus the addenda. At this point, there is no plan to release version 1.1 as a separate document.
