Richard Williams is an award-winning architect with over 20 years of experience, and is HOK’s Vice President, Architecture. Richard also leads HOK’s Sustainable Design Group, where he provides leadership in the development and application of the firm’s sustainable design guidelines for all projects. Richard is a member of HOK’s Sustainable Network, which inspires sustainable practices in HOK offices around the world.
A highly skilled designer and project manager, Richard is responsible for both architecture and interior design projects, including the Jean Canfield Government of Canada Building, a flagship project of the Federal Government’s new national sustainability initiative. Other sustainable design projects include Honda Canada’s new headquarters campus and the University of Alberta’s Edmonton Clinic North, which will integrate health sciences education and research. Both are LEED® candidate projects.
Richard is a LEED® Accredited Professional, and is a member of the Royal Architecture Institute of Canada, the Ontario Association of Architects, the Alberta Association of Architects, the Architects Association of PEI and the Architects Association of New Brunswick.
